A native New Yorker, I was seduced by San Francisco and moved west several years ago. Reflected in my work is an interest in the urban landscape and abstract themes. Inspiration is everywhere. I create abstract compositions by focusing on color, texture, shadow and light.

I agree with Paul Strand who said "An artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep." It is not necessary to travel far to find interesting subjects. I look for the beauty that surrounds us in everyday places and objects.

A few years ago, I opened Gallery 28 in the North Beach section of San Francisco. The gallery was short lived but provided an entry into the wonderful and diverse community of artists in the Bay Area.
